The plants come back every year Catherine. I don't cut them back until I see new growth. I cut them back to about 6" to 8" tall. Each year the plant comes back bigger and stronger. I never know what the seedling plant colors will be until they bloom. Always such a nice surprise. They do have a wonderful scent. : )
