| Interesting characters C! The first and second look like a queen and king, not sure about the third, it looks like a sleeping man with a long beard! I wonder who the fourth represented. Do you know who the statues are said to be? I went back and read some of the history but didn't find these and if you did mention them I must have missed it. They look like they are suffering from modern pollution, the Lincoln cathedral undergoes constant cleaning to rid the stone of acidic deposits which can erode the stone. It's a very costly job to keep it maintained, they have taken 'donations' at the door for years now but also have to raise money in other ways. |
