| I'm really happy for you all. You've now gotten a great start to your future. Congratulations again! So is there a place already for you to do your leather smith art? A shop for building furniture with no tools? If not, I bet there will be by the end of the year!  |

| Well for the leatherwork, I just sit in front of the tv for the carving process, for dying and painting I have to have somewhere that spills won't effect. Mom has several spots I can use for dyeing, or I have a garage. It's one of the issues that mom and I have, is that she doesn't want to work without company, and I need to zone out, but... | It's not always easy to work with others, but I commend you for doing so with your Mom. I am sure even with the "issues" you both appreciate the companionship that you all have. Something that we use for painting is some canvas painters runners. When we painted my Mom's house last year I was worried because her carpet is a creamy white color. She's had it for about 20 years, but it still looks new. She's a stickler for vacuuming and shampooing it. Anyhow, we used those canvas runners and not a single drop of paint soaked through to her carpet. Something like that might come in handy for dyeing. Not sure how much space you require for that. I'm sure they come in full SHEETS and not only in runners. Laura, I'd love it if you all would "document" what you do the next time you create something. I'd love to have some tutorials on here of different types of crafts. We now have "PAGES" available, so the text and photos could flow all in one posting, like an article, rather than being broken up into separate posts for each photo. Would you be interested? Talk to your Mom about it. I'm going to create some for our copper sculptures soon. I've been snowed under with the Ancestry database this past week, but I plan to have this type of thing available here. I'd thought about creating a forum for it, but I think having individual pages would be a better presentation. |
