I'm great as losing my posts in cyber space, so have to start over. In the early 60's this tea cart housed a B&W TV set. My mother used it over the years as a place to store her crafts, books, etc. with a new TV set sitting on top. I became the proud owner of this tea cart and DH put a plywood backing on it, added a shelf and now I have a place for books, etc. One of my treasured pieces. Sitting under the cart is a ceramic cat I plan on using in my yard. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

Oh Pegi! That is beautiful! I can just imagine the old TV on the top of it. We didn't have anything near that fancy for our old tv. |

That was a very nice TV cabinet and your re-purposing of it over the years is wonderful. Not only does it look wonderful but it holds family memories as well. |

ty so much, I've always liked this, never knowing I would get to have it. DH said he remembered going with my dad to pick up the TV set, remember when you had tubes to replace? I'm so glad they didn't get rid of the cabinet along with the guts of the TV. I was going to use it for books, but as you can see I have so many other things in it. At Christmas time I set my small tree on top of it, along with a beautiful quilted skirt my sister made for me. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |
