There are no captions on this slide show. I created it a bit differently than I usually do, so please read this BEFORE you click on the link. Firing Up The New Tools Rick bought me a pair of Pneumatic AIR SHEARS to cut copper with for Christmas. (Yeah Me!!! + Connie too!!! I think we BOTH kissed him for that gift!!!) Today was the first day we've had a chance to use them. We opened the wrapper of the box, read the instructions and needed pneumatic oil. We went to go get some. Got back to the shop and set it up to use. Connie took the first few cuts and realized immediately that it wouldn't curve like we needed it to for creating sculptures. So I called Rick and he got out the receipt. We took it back to Harbor Freight and they exchanged it for a Pneumatic AIR NIBBLER with a LASER. We got back to the shop and read the next set of instructions. We are sticklers for making sure we do things safely and correctly. We had to get the air pressure up to a certain PSI and make sure it didn't exceed that. You will see Connie making the first cuts with both tools today. She forgot to turn the laser on, but you can clearly see how cool this is going to be for creating sculptures! I've set this slide show to run at 0.5 seconds per frame so you can watch it like a slow motion video. I wish I'd thought to use the video, but I was using Hillary's new camera and it was my first time to use it. I felt comfortable taking still shots. If you will train your eyes to the center of the screen through the whole show you will see the bits of copper flying off the sheet of copper. Pretty neat.... if I do say so myself! I love Hillary's new camera!!! Keep in mind that in ANY of my slide shows, if you want to slow the thing down, just move your mouse and set the timer there. You can back up to look at something again or adjust the volume of the slide show there also. Without further ado, Firing Up the New Tools!!! Janet |
