Sometimes we meet a new friend who changes our lives forever. Ava is that kind of friend. I had to travel all the way from Kentucky to Alaska to find her. Her story is so special, I just had to share it with you. Join us as we spend some time in a very beautiful state with a very interesting lady.

A very exciting life, and well told of course. What a life of adventure you have led, and still are, it sounds like. From jewelry making to king crab fishing, the variety is certainly beyond most people. I am glad you agreed to share your story.

Thanks Connie, for inviting me to your Carpe diem cubit. I love showing photos of my beautiful Alaska.

Nice to meet you, Lance. I see you on the Blue Gardens Chat thread, but don't post much there. I'm not much of a gardener, though I've been forced into it by the maintenance of my sisters Memory Garden that Shar speaks of. My own gardens are 90% wildflowers and they pretty much take care of themselves.

Low maintenance wildflowers are my preferred gardens, as well, and what I have most of whether I like it or not. Hilarious!

Sharon, thank you for another wonderful interview.

Ava, what an exciting life. What an interesting and strong woman you are. Kind of reminds me of a Nora Roberts book with all the strong women characters she writes of.

I'm very happy to know more about you.

Nora Roberts is always writing about strong women, and I can just see you being the heroine of one of her books. Northern Lights I think was the one about the woman bush pilot from Alaska.
