I have a lovely friend who inspires me with every word she writes. She paints pictures with her words and takes us on trips through sunrises and snowfalls. More than likely she'll take you for a ride on the back of her horse if you ask. Let's go to Oregon for a little while; she's waiting there for us.

Elena, I'm glad you enjoyed reading it all in one place after having parts of it in so many pieces on your website. It was such a pleasure to meet you at the Kentucky RU several years ago.

Mary, no way could I have ever found a better writer than you to be with us over at The Gathering Place site for so long. I think it is going to be our seventh year when we hit another milestone. I have been saying "6 1/2 years" for quite a while so I must research to see how many years we have actually been in existence. I have put a "sticky" at the very top of your forum at TGP linking back to this great article about you. I hope that meets with both your and Sharon's approval. I really wanted all of your followers over there to read this article and see the great pictures.

I am one of your best fans, by the way. You have been a marvelous Christian witness to many, many people in your lifetime, both in your daily life and on line at the sites that you have belonged to and written for. Keep up the good work. One of these days you are truly going to hear the words, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant."

Love you, my friend.

Oops! I forgot to say how marvelous it was getting to meet you also. I was never so surprised and delighted in my life to find you there since nobody had "let the cat out of the bag" and told me you were there. I will never forget how surprised and thrilled I was when we walked up to that picnic table and I realized that you were really there. What a day and one that I will never forget! It has been a delight knowing you, my friend.

That was fun! You didn't have a clue! I'll never forget the look on your face when you realized who was sitting there. Melody and Lisa met me at the airport in Nashville, and showed me where you live but we didn't dare drive down your street because you would have recognized the car. We had to be sneaky to keep the secret until we could surprise you when a whole roomfull of people could also enjoy it. Jo didn't know either! I think you got to enjoy her reaction.

I can't think of a nicer way to have met you face to face. That was soooo much fun. I think of it now and wish I could have invited you into my home or met you at the airport or something to have helped out. No, Jo was surprised also. She always stays with me when she comes from Arizona and is the best house guest I have ever had to visit me. Lisa says that same thing about you. Since you have that reputation, you are always welcome here at my home.

That look on my face was genuine. You had your head turned away from me when I came up and I can't remember exactly what was said to make me know it was you before you actually turned your head to look at me. That was a memorable moment and one I will always remember. I had always thought I would probably not actually meet you here on this earth but would have to wait to see you in heaven. Thumbs up Joy, joy!!!

Elena, I am envious! Mary, how I would love to meet you! What a wonderful story, and what a full and giving life you have had! If we ever get that trailer hitched up for a long trip west, we'd really like to come by and visit your farm! I think Tom would love to meet both of you, too!

Love,

Bonnie

Dahlia, you are so funny with your unique use of words. Of course, with parents named EMoo, should I expect less? Glad that you enjoyed the trip through my life. Oh yes, owlets, off to grab a picture of one I would have loved to squeeze. However, my zoom got him closer than he actually was, and he was getting quite nervous.

Hi Elena,
Great to see you too. I was just thinking that Bonnie could swoop over and pick you and me up then maybe we could scoop up Dahlia and all together we could follow the Oregon Trail. Whattya think?

Wouldn't that be a trip to write home about?

Thanks about the photo. I had to bundle up for this cold weather!! Now, if I could only find my hat.....

Count me in on that trip! What a crew we would make for that journey! Poor Mary!!!!! She had better hope we are just having "pipe dreams." I will say this much about such plans. Let's wait until it is not too hot or too cold. Thumbs up They have both of those in Oregon and I don't want any part of either choice. Thumbs down

Better look for that hat some more. Don't want those curls to freeze and crack/break off. Rolling on the floor laughing
