I became familiar with Sheri over at the Playpen of Graphics Jigsaw Puzzle Forum. Some of the puzzles Zany made were of Sheri's budgies, beautiful birds that she talked about as if they were her family. We puzzlers are a close-knit group, and I started to get attached to them too. So it was a delight for me to chat with her for this article.

The vibrant purples of your flowers are stunning. I just wanted to stuff my nose into the peony. I think it was pink.
Making those Christmas cards was hard work indeed! What a talented family!
The butterfly card is my favorite
All your birds are beautiful but for color, the turquoise one is WOW. I don't know a lot about birds but I do have a grand-bird (instead of grandchild) that is an African grey. Her name is Maggie Mae and she sings and talks and dances and whistles. She's a hoot
Thank you Sheri, for sharing all these wonderful, colorful, happy photos with us
Sheri sent me some additional photos that didn't make the article. I'll post them here.

I forgot to mention that my son (Corey) excelled at music. He played trumpet and later was changed to french horn for more of a musical challenge. He also played the violin very well. He took violin solos to state several times. (in the solo and ensemble competitions) He also had a french horn solo that he took to state.
Jeannie and me at our dad's 70th birthday party (2001)
Jeannie and I had a discussion about the death of those who didn't get a chance at a full life on time. The next time she visited she brought this for me for my newly planted iris garden (which of course she helped me dig and plant)
This is just a scrapbook page I did:
This past December, over on DG in the pets forum, many of the pets took a virtual trip. They were all at Cayman's house on my birthday and I made up this photo to post.
