Our Spotlight guest this week goes by the name Wildflowers. In her words, I sense sweetness and a joy in simple pleasures. In her eyes and her smile I see a healthy sense of humor. And woven through her life are threads of sadness, which have produced an inner strength and an attitude of gratitude. I think you'll like meeting Christine!

.....but what a hauntingly beautiful story, Christine. You touched my heart. Your happy spirit shows in your every word! Thank you for letting us get to know you.

Nap, you did good, and my apologies for being late to comment but they sure have kept me busy in Iowa this week. Will be home Friday evening and if the flights and delays don't destroy me, I'm going to come right here and read this story all over again.

Thank you both!

And after you read Christine's story again, you will write to me all about your trip!

Have fun, and like my German grandmother used to say, "Come good home!"

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your kind words!

Sounds like you are doing some traveling. Hubby and I spent an entire week traveling all over Iowa...not much there LOL. Hubby's boss wanted him to consider moving there. I'm really glad we moved to right here! Big Grin

Nap, I love that saying!

Oh, but I'm visiting with Arlene (TwinLakesChef) and she is truly a would not believe all the wonderful food.

AND I got to visit the Amana Colonies which is LarryR's home and the culture and history there is amazing. Gorgeous architecture, and so much history. The place just is so very peaceful, I could have stayed forever just to breathe in all that peace.

So we've been to 3 very nice places and met wonderful people....but the miles and hours between each of the places are empty, you are exactly right, not much here. I am really glad I've had Cubits friends as tour guides.

I love your home, beautiful. It looks very much like an area in Texas where my husband grew up. When I get home and on my own computer, I'll tell you more about that and about Iowa.

Y'all have a good rest of the week. .
