Sally, or Sunfarm as we know her here on Cubits, is one of my Kentucky friends. She lives nearer to my mountain hometown than I do and sometimes I have to look at her pictures just to get a glimpse of my beloved hills. Uplifting, you bet! And it's even more uplifting to know Sally.

Sally- thank you so much for sharing your story with us. You are obviously a woman full of grace, dignity, and strength. I am sure that everyone reading this article has and will find inspiration from you.
I can hardly wrap my mind around your news, yet you seem to be taking it in the way that I hope I can muster half as well if/when my turn comes.
You will be missed. Not only by those of us who have never met you in person, but I can only imagine how many lives you have touched in your life! You've made an impact on countless lives, I feel sure.
Your dance is beautiful.

Sally, I'm pleased to know you. I only wish it had been sooner and could last longer. You are a talented, brave and inspiring lady. I'll dance in the rain in memory of you, and I'll never think of concrete or fabric lampshades in the same way again.
Sharon, thank you, I know this was not easy for you to put into words and feeling for all of us while trying to hold back the tears.
Sharon, thanks so much for this wonderful article for Sally! Wish I had the rain to run out and cry in! But this article somehow makes me feel a bit stronger, if I ever got news, I hope I would take in in stride like you have Sally!
God Bless you!

Sharron, thank you so much for the lovely story about your friend, Sally. She has lived such a rich full life and will leave more friends mourning this world's loss when the time comes than can be counted.
People like you, Sally, affect people will never meet you, probably never know your name or that you have had a lifesaving effect on their lives. People in other nations who will have safe concrete because of the tests you ran and the decisions you made on their safety's behalf. People who learned of weather conditions and had no idea who was behind them being notified. And people like me who, like Mary, will never think of proms, school promotions and lampshades the same way again.
We have a granddaughter who went from mid-kindergarten to second grade in the middle of a school year. I'm not sure it was a good idea afterall and I don't think she does either. She actually could have gone into 3rd grade but even the school system didn't think that was a good idea because of the maturity issue. She had just come out of a private/homeschooling type situation so changing friends wasn't an issue with her.
May GOD's richest blessings be with you the remainder of your time here on earth and in eternity.
