Although the following article is published under my name, it was written for you totally by Sharon. With my apologies to all of our previous guests, I think it's the best article the Who's Who Spotlight cubit has presented so far. Sharon, my friend, welcome to the Spotlight!
Ditto to what Lee Anne said! What a wonderful story, Sharon, it does make me wanna give you a hug. Thanks so much for sharing it, and the pictures--how nice to see those!
I wish we lived closer so we could meet. I think of you and Aunt Bett often when I am out in the woods and run across a plant I can't identify, and wonder what magic it might hold.
Sometimes you can google the description of a plant and come up with a match especially if images pop up.
And sometimes for the life of me I can't remember a plant, or the common name I know it by is not anybody else's common name, only Aunt Bett's. Like the lickrish plant. Hello!! I never knew it as fennel. Took me years to figure out the licorice part and go from there.
And Speargrass. Yep, asparagus. My life gets a little complicated sometimes!
