The name of her cubit was so enchanting that I was drawn to it. What I found there was surprising. "The Cottage In The Thicket" is a site for Pagans. Here? Then my brain clicked out the answer... That is what Cubits was designed for ...diversity...where a site's owner could present their interests in a safe and controlled environment. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to know about this site and the woman behind it. Here is her response in her own, very well expressed words.

Like WoodWife said many of us remain hidden..to protect our jobs, family and friends who are also in the closet. Its a shame but depending on where you live you can be open or not....California is an eclectic place for all the differences in its peoples. Pagans, atheists, gays, various accepted religious denominations live in a form of harmony. But in the Bible Belt and the South Eastern States their thoughts only accept one god and one religion....what ever that is....

I am Druid, practice a system of knowledge that There is only one Being in existence, the Boundless and you are that.
The knowledge that is given to us tells us that we are all part of the One, The Maker of us all by what ever name you call the Boundless, the Universe, The Gods and Goddesses... our essence is mingled making us one. Although my telling is only because of my knowledge and I will not push the thought onto another....each man and woman must come to the knowledge in their own way and live their life accordingly.

Blessed Be

Walk in Peace.
I loved the name "Cottage in the thicket" Sounds like a peaceful quiet spot to visit just to feel closer to God. I love people and I try not to let them feel left out. Sometimes folks can be cruel.
I love your Furbabies and enjoy reading your spotlight.
Hey, LaVonne,
Charley and I send hugs and mule nuzzles....

Thank you Zany for bringing Wendy and her cubit into the spotlight. Big Grin I very much enjoy reading the articles and threads in The Cottage in the Thicket by both Wendy and LaVonne. There really is something enjoyable and harmonious about reading of those who still worship and celebrate all things natural. I hope to be able to continue more of the same. Thumbs up

Stormy, it was my pleasure! The diverse nature of Cubits is wonderful and I agree wholeheartedly with Woodwife's statement:
Quoting:I hope that someday everyone will be able to openly express their spirituality, or lack of it, without fear.

I believe that has been proven to be true here.

I think it is wonderful for folks to learn to get along with each other. I try to love everyone.
Some folks don't love anything, but they don't know what they are missing in learning about each other. Lovey dubby Group hug Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!
