| Why can women not reverse anything, even my sister in law is the same always hitting things until I took her to where I worked and made her practice on a tractor and trailer and she soon got the idea! If I can reverse a 64 ton tank into a tank hangar with no mirrors, then you should be able to reverse a car with mirrors into a space.  What is a valet as you describe it as we carry no documents on us at all when driving, for if you get stopped by the Police you get a producer where you have seven days to go to the Police station and present your documents to them. | Cece - I'm so glad you're all right. Neil - I can back up very well. I could drive backwards from here to your lovely home if there was a road to drive on and do it on a stick shift - stick shift being a car that requires you to use a clutch.Valet service is when an attendant will park the car for you. | Dear Vicki, it is nice to know that somebody can do it apart from my wife and sister in law who I taught how to. A valet service here means that they clean the outside and inside of your car for you very professionally and it is not cheap! I have never heard the words stick shift as we call them manuals and the ones without a clutch automatics! But thank you for explaining your terminology for them. | Good for you Jamie it is nice to know that some of you can do it! My wife's best friend cannot park at all and came round to see us. In the space you could put a 40 ton truck in she had 18 attempts so I got her out of the car and I put it in first time right next to the kerb for her, mind you she is a blonde! To pass your driving test over here you must be able to reverse, do they forget it once they come out of the driving center? I was taught in Land Rovers which have no power steering, air conditioning or anything and the brakes are terrible as well plus tanks and tractors! I hope that Inky is OK? | Isn't that just Frank? Now it is up to me to go and get estimates for how much and how long it will take. He says you did it you do it. Its not like I purposely woke up yesterday and said I think I'll find a cement post to hit. Just for fun, I gotta say though the first crunch made my stomach jumpy and the second crunch made me very sick to my tummy. | a DRIVING DISORDER??????? ' You funny girl. Took car for two estimates. They were about 100 dollars apart, Ed will go with the one that offers a free loaner for it will take 3 days. Seventeen hundred dollars......................I asked can't you just pound it out? That IS pounding out. If we'd have needed to replace the doors (which I was told by the other guy it wouldn't require that) it would be a thousand dollars a PIECE!!!!!!! They'll pound it out, repaint, and replace the one molding, Wanna see the expensive art work?????????   Driving disorder, indeed the faster I go, the behinder I get |

| Did you try to park it sideways to get two panels like that? Some woman hit Sarah's car when it was parked as she started her car (manual or stick shift) in gear and it went straight into the back of it and did some damage. It cost her a lot of money as we wanted a courtesy car as well for Sarah to get to work with so she lost her no claims bonus on her insurance as Sarah's car is new and I wanted it put back correctly, which they did. Fancy starting a car when it is in gear, some people amaze me. I think I agree with Jamie about the driving disorder after seeing that, and if Sarah did that to her new car which I bought her she might not come home until I cooled down in about a months time!
