I have had the great pleasure of getting to know another cubit member better through the interview process. I hope that you will enjoy her story as much as I have. I asked Carol to start by giving me a little bit of background, and we took off from there.

Thank you Nancy! I really enjoyed doing the interview with Brenda. She is a great person!

Doing the interview made me appreciate my family even more. Having to put my life into words ... That has an impact I can't describe. Even though you think loving thoughts about all of them, putting it into words really brings it home. I will never forget the 1st time I heard Mindy telling some of the ladies from my church about how her life prepared her for Shae. It was very moving hearing it that way, even though I already knew what she and Ken had gone through before Shae came along.

I think these interviews are a great thing because of that. We can share our sorrows, celebrate our victories and rejoice in our blessings!

Hi Jerri! Yeah, it's been a while. Maybe even last Christmas. I have not been visiting Cubits or anywhere else as much as I used to. I seem to be doing other stuff too much.
I do check my c-mails once a day, so you don't be a stranger either! I enjoy visiting with you! Smiling Thumbs up And I always go to Brenda's Puzzle forum, several times a day. I have gotten addicted to her puzzles now! Rolling on the floor laughing

The birth parents live in Houston. Ken, Mindy's husband was the administrator of the home for medically fragile children that Shae was brought to, for comfort care. She was not supposed to live. When she did not die, doctor's drained the fluid filled tumor in her head and she began to move and respond to people.

Thank you for all the compliments. Yes Shae is a miracle child, but really all children are. They are such blessings, and they are so often taken for granted.

Shae's story is special though, and all of the miracles that have taken place in her life make me wonder what the Lord has planned for her.

Hi Christine! Thank you! I can't believe all the time that's gone by and we still haven't gotten together. I really would like to meet you sometime. Hopefully we could at least have lunch one day. Aren't you near Sulphur Springs?

We have been saying that for a long time! There's not much distance between us ~ by Texas standards we are neighbors! LOL!
