I have had the great pleasure of getting to know another cubit member better through the interview process. I hope that you will enjoy her story as much as I have.
I asked Carol to start by giving me a little bit of background, and we took off from there.
Thank you Nancy! I really enjoyed doing the interview with Brenda. She is a great person!
Doing the interview made me appreciate my family even more. Having to put my life into words ... That has an impact I can't describe. Even though you think loving thoughts about all of them, putting it into words really brings it home. I will never forget the 1st time I heard Mindy telling some of the ladies from my church about how her life prepared her for Shae. It was very moving hearing it that way, even though I already knew what she and Ken had gone through before Shae came along.
I think these interviews are a great thing because of that. We can share our sorrows, celebrate our victories and rejoice in our blessings!
Hi Jerri! Yeah, it's been a while. Maybe even last Christmas. I have not been visiting Cubits or anywhere else as much as I used to. I seem to be doing other stuff too much.
I do check my c-mails once a day, so you don't be a stranger either! I enjoy visiting with you! And I always go to Brenda's Puzzle forum, several times a day. I have gotten addicted to her puzzles now!
I've seen you on Zany's puzzles and it's a pleasure to meet you. You have a wonderful family and you are so blessed with your granddaughter. Children such as she have so much to give and we have so much to learn from them. Thank you for sharing with us....
Great interview Brenda....
Edited because I can't seem to type well tonight!!!
The birth parents live in Houston. Ken, Mindy's husband was the administrator of the home for medically fragile children that Shae was brought to, for comfort care. She was not supposed to live. When she did not die, doctor's drained the fluid filled tumor in her head and she began to move and respond to people.
Hi Christine! Thank you! I can't believe all the time that's gone by and we still haven't gotten together. I really would like to meet you sometime. Hopefully we could at least have lunch one day. Aren't you near Sulphur Springs?
That is so true. Generally speaking I am not a busy person! I should be able to do this!
I think what it is ... I have having so much fun, time is just flying out the door! Let me know when you would like to meet. I am sure I can do it most any time.
What a wonderful family you have, Carol! Shea is not only a miracle baby, but a beautiful little girl. I'm so glad she was saved for you all to love.
Your jewelry is beautiful, too. I'm heading over to your cubit to look at some more.
Thanks for sharing your story with us, and thanks for bringing it to us, Brenda.
