Well, after crying my eyes out first thing Christmas eve morn, I am finally in shape enough to thank you for the lovely story & the precious little memories it brought to life for me. There are so many of them. If I were to bundle them all together they would never all fit in a pocket. I do believe it would take a freight car to hold them all. Dear Sharon of the kindred spirit, I am fond of saying the precious, wonderful times in life consist not of years, weeks, days, hours or even minutes but of moments. Tiny fleeting moments. In between all the chaff, pain, frustration, disappointments & drudgery lie brief exquisite moments of joy, elation, love & wonder. When those times present themselves we must latch on to them, celebrate them, capture them & store them away in our heart & mind to bring out & savor & cherish through all the rest. They are there; we just have to bring them forth. And peace & love to you Sharon, Anni "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." Will Rogers |

Merry Christmas Sharon. During this busy time of year you have made me stop and think about the tiny, treasured things in life. Such a wonderful Christmas gift you have given me. Here is one of my tiny memory treasures. My dad sent these to my mom for Christmas while he was in Europe in 1944, far from everything he loved most. These represent his two little daughters safe at home with his beloved wife. Both mom and dad are gone now, but these two tiny carved soap stone figures remind me of the love my dad had for his family. ![]() Thank you for making me stop and remember. |

Thank you for sharing them, Lynn. Precious memories. Merry Christmas! |
