I have a lovely friend who inspires me with every word she writes. She paints pictures with her words and takes us on trips through sunrises and snowfalls. More than likely she'll take you for a ride on the back of her horse if you ask. Let's go to Oregon for a little while; she's waiting there for us.

Your article is wonderful, I can not add anymore than what is already written about how much I enjoyed reading about your life.. Such an interesting story!
I have read your posts for years and years and have always enjoyed them, one of the ones I really enjoyed
is when Lisa told the story about "wool socks" LOL
It was a pleasure to read about a life as wonderful and interesting as yours.

Thanks from me, Candy. She is a truly delightful and inspiring woman.
I'm fortunate to have her as a very good friend.

Hi Candy, I'm glad you found me. Thank you for your kind comments. I'd forgotten the wool socks story. Poor Cajun gal with cold feet needed a little help. I wrote a little poem for her about her cold feet. Did you know that she and her family came to visit us several years ago, and that a few years later I went to Kentucky to visit her and attend the roundup? We still keep in touch. She is a real gem.

You can find more of my verbal ramblings by clicking the link below this post. I'm still finding stuff to write about.

Thanks Mary,
I got to your page, and was reading, I remember your lasagna garden and when you put it in. It looks beautiful in the picture. I may remember when Lisa came up to see you, but did not know you went to see her. I bet she loved that. Is she still in Kentucky? I lost track of everyone a few years back. I also enjoyed reading Badseeds posts, is she around here at all? Good to find you again!

Thank you for your compliments. Lisa and her family are still in Kentucky. She posts on facebook, using justmelisa I think. I'm not there so that's a guess. For Badseed, try going to AllThingsPlants.com, and look in the Ohio River gardening forum. Kathleen from the Cubits Farm forum might know. Hope you find everybody you're looking for. We got kinda scattered when the trouble started after the company Dave sold DG to sold it to the present owners. Lots of people just left in disgust. The last I heard, Badseed and her family were up to 7 kids (they finally got a boy!) and came within a whisker of loosing their farm. She's a fighter!

Happy gardening!
Mary
