I love this quote and it surely is true. I think that is one of the many reasons why we all have the common thread of gardens that bring us such peace Lovey dubby

I agree I do my best to make my little corner of the world better, but it's a real challenge if you have extremely negative people to deal with.

But sometimes challenges make us stronger and more determined, don't you think?

I agree I love to be nice to difficult people. They sometimes get won over. And if they don't, I still feel better about myself for doing it.

Being nice to difficult people became a habit when I was teaching juniors and seniors.

I kinda hold on to that old habit.

Love this spotlight! Sometimes I say a prayer on my way to work and ask God to help me make it a good day by being nice to everyone, do a good day's work, and not to get dragged into the gossip. We have one person in particular who loves to stir things up, so there are times when keeping the peace is especially difficult.

One of my Mom's favorite sayings was "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" and I do try to stick to that. But I've also learned that there is a difference between saying something that is tactful and sensitive & being mean and hurtful.

I guess I should say that prayer each and every day, but sometimes I forget:)

Yep, my Mom said it, too, and of course, I said it to my son. Nice tradition!

And sometimes you just have to turn around and walk away without saying anything.

Good Morning, Vickie-almost-neighbor. Nice to see you.

Vic, Renee, morning glories are blooming again! And this time they have purple mixed in. Must be Grampa Ott paid a visit this morning.

I also hold to saying nothing and walking away. I know it used to upset a person I worked with until she finally realized I wouldn't speak unless she was nice. Took a while but it worked. I think she called me every name in the book thinking I was being so rude to her. But I held my ground and she got wise.
