Excellent, as usual, Sharon. And very timely as well.

The thing is, being thankful should be an everyday event instead of only once a year. That occurred to me when I posted those words.

Thanks Mary. Enjoy your Thanksgiving week!

Yes, thankfullness should be a way of life, not an event.

Nice quote! I especially like the definition: "gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder."

I wish you faithful readers the happiest Thanksgiving Day. Sharon, I wish we lived closer.

I hope this day finds you among the folks you love the most, and those you don't see often enough. I do thank God every day for the many blessings He allows into my life. Everyday.

Today is the 117th annual Turkey Trot run here in Buffalo. I hear it's the oldest official "run" in America. It got its start in 1896 with only 6 participants. Now, today, they cut it off at 14,000 runners. Although I live close to the route, I have never gone to it, not even to watch, but apparently some people show up in crazy costumes like turkeys and flamingoes.

I've only included a link in case anyone wants to know about it. Me, I don't really care about running, but I know people come from other states to participate. Crazy people, no doubt. Hilarious! (Don't feel you need to go to the link or comment.)

A Turkey Trot!

I had visions of Turkeys, dressed in their finest, marching all in a row up and down the streets of Buffalo!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Nancy.
I hope it is a beautiful day.

LOL I went to Turkeyfoot Jr. High School and we used to call it "Turkeytrot".
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
