Think it's my Magenta Moon peony, Vic. It's a few years old picture but I'm pretty sure it's the peony. Thanks, it does look like a rose. See the foliage?

Never blind nor stupid.
I had to look twice at it myself and when it is blooming there are roses around it also blooming, so you have to really get close to see who is who. Smiling

Sometimes, I think Beauty is lurking right beneath a surface occupied by Messrs. Blind and Stupid, who, imho, are nothing more than illusory projections. Imagine the unspeakable social skills that could be improved, if only it were easier to unmask Messrs. Blind and Stupid.

At times most of us can be both blind and stupid, just some more so than others and that's the beauty of it.

Such true words; that's part of the reason I am there at the nursing home with my Dad every single day, no matter how exhausted I am. I'm at the library next door to the place now, and I'm about to go there to help feed him, as the Parkinson's makes it difficult for him.
He has always been there for us, no matter what, and it's the least we can do for him.
