I admit that sometimes in the past I wished that I could have tied a knot on my tounge. But I try, not always successfully, to keep quiet when I feel the need to shout at some people. A big hug for Sunshine
Just this evening I lambasted someone for something he totally deserved, It was quite out of character for me. He left the room in anger. Within 15 minutes I had texted an apology, he accepted, we spoke on the phone, I said the same things but in a quieter, nicer way, he admitted he had been a jerk and we are friends again. I was right, he was wrong, but I handled it poorly.
Sometimes we repeat our own mistakes. Sometimes not. Either way it's a learning experience and finally, finally we 'get' it. Hopefully by then it isn't too late.
