And there you have it all in one shot! This for me is just about the most poignant of all the quotations to date.
Fortune favors the brave.
Tickling is no laughing matter.

I'll copy the quotation here so you can see it as you comment. Nap suggested that I do that but I keep forgetting.

"You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
Love what it loves.
Tell me about your despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on..."

From "Wild Geese" by Mary Oliver

I keep coming back to the picture you used on this. It looks like a photo of leaves with a lovely blossom painted onto it. What is it?

No, it isn't a painting. It's my Japanese tree peony whose name I've forgotten. It just finished blooming yesterday and the wind blew away its faded petals today. The foliage belongs to the peony. So it's just a photo taken with my iPhone. Thinking about painting it next.

I have never seen a tree peony so I didn't recognize the foliage. The picture is lovely. I think you painting it would be wonderful.

I planted one about 6 years ago, earthquake, radiation, and neglect killed it.
Just reminded me to plant a new one.
