We all seem to have at least one moment in our lives when we truly shine. The birth of our children, a graduation, a personal goal reached. Each is unique to us .... Then we want to pass on those moments so hopefully another generation can learn....

"Let's go out in a blaze of glory
All good things must end
Like two heroes in a story
Let's go out like we came in
In a blaze of glory."

As our torch begins to sputters out, we can only hope that we kept it ablaze long and brightly enough to light the way for our children to pick it up and use the remaining spark to light their own torches.

I'll be cremated after my death so I'll definitely go out in a blaze, as for glory I'll leave others to decide.

I have written a little poem.

When I die I hope that there are those that have a tear to shed
I tried my best throughout my life not to impose or be impolite
Or do anything I may regret.

I hope my friends will see me in the light of who I truly am
And my enemies forgive me as I can them.

I would like to go to heaven yet, yes I have sin may my God forgive me.
Fortune favors the brave.
Tickling is no laughing matter.

I never gave it much thought when I was younger, even middle-aged, but nearing 70, I have been thinking about my "exit" and how much or how little impact it will have on others.

And to that extent, I am satisfied that I will be remembered fondly and have made a difference in a few lives. I only hope I am given enough time to see how my little ones will handle adulthood.

Going out in a blaze of glory isn't important to me. A quiet, private exit will be fine for me.
