As we age, our goals and dreams change to fit our new reality. I no longer dream of being a world renowned artist, singer, or writer. Instead I set my goals to remaining as artistic as I can be, to write a little bit and to never sing, even in the shower, because I lost my vocal abilities, and cannot stand the sound of my own voice.
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."
I get that. I admit I never really had lofty goals. I always just wanted to do what was before me each day and get on with life. I wanted to serve my family, my job and my God from behind the scenes. I'm satisfied to be the worker bee in the hive of life.
I have no other goals still, to this day. No new dreams. But that doesn't mean I don't agree with this quote. Age should not limit us as long as we can think and function. We should not fear criticism or failure.
Yep Nancy, you and I do have many similar interests and ideas. "Birds of a feather flock together" sort of thing....I related to you almost instantly quite a long time ago when we first started posting on Sharon's forums. Yes, I personally don't think we could have turned out much better.....Just my HUMBLE opinion however.
