| I dance whether there's music I can hear or not! I don't know what that says about me, especially as I'm not a good dancer by any measure. My daughter, OTOH, dances like the ballerina she is. That made me chuckle, Jill. I pictured myself, looking like I was being attacked by bees.  Not a pretty picture. I myself don't dance anymore. But sometimes the music feels so enticing that I might sway or bob my head. Over 70 (or maybe over 60) dancing just looks unnatural unless you're Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly, etc. But I think I'm a young 70-ish because I listen to today's music rather than the oldies like all the other 70-ish folks I know. Your daughter is indeed an accomplished ballerina. That's what I wanted to be when I was little. My parents even bought me a pair of steel-tipped ballet slippers. But as it turned out, it was just a phase I went through. I walked around the house on my toes for awhile, but soon realized it was just a game for me. My parents were so sweet, but they wasted their money.  |

| Just as well you didn't keep trying to dance on your toes! Dancing en pointe isn't good for young, growing feet, apparently... I wouldn't know that except that Joyanna isn't even doing "pre pointe" yet; her ballet teachers are very careful not to start the girls too early. For myself, I'm grateful that my parents didn't take all the advice they got that ballet classes would help me get over being awkward -- ballet would have been such a nightmare for me! Gym class was bad enough.LOL I'm not sure why this particular "Words" keeps catching my eye. Tonight, I looked at the the thumbnail and was reminded of a quote from Jacob the Baker (Noah benShea): "It is the spaces between the notes that makes the music."
