It sounds like the voice of a boy/man who felt neglected because his mother spent a lot of time on his sister's and her own hair, but then it turns into the voice of a woman who promises to do better by her sons and daughters. |

I took it to mean that a grown woman was thinking back on her neglectful mother and the reasons why, only to make an inner vow not to repeat her mom's behavior. I know it's a little odd, but when I read it, it seemed perfectly cool. ![]() |
