|Sharron, thank you so much for the lovely story about your friend, Sally. She has lived such a rich full life and will leave more friends mourning this world's loss when the time comes than can be counted.
People like you, Sally, affect people will never meet you, probably never know your name or that you have had a lifesaving effect on their lives. People in other nations who will have safe concrete because of the tests you ran and the decisions you made on their safety's behalf. People who learned of weather conditions and had no idea who was behind them being notified. And people like me who, like Mary, will never think of proms, school promotions and lampshades the same way again.
We have a granddaughter who went from mid-kindergarten to second grade in the middle of a school year. I'm not sure it was a good idea afterall and I don't think she does either. She actually could have gone into 3rd grade but even the school system didn't think that was a good idea because of the maturity issue. She had just come out of a private/homeschooling type situation so changing friends wasn't an issue with her.
May GOD's richest blessings be with you the remainder of your time here on earth and in eternity.
