That's right, my first car was a Ford 1923 Model T! Oh alright, it was not completely stock and there were some modifications. When I was a little girl, I would sit in my dad's lap and we would watch drag racing on tv. I would tell him that I wanted a car just like the racers had. Well, the closest street legal car that we could get was a T-bucket. So, when I was 14 or 15, we started building the car. It took quite a long time (not a kit car, we found all of the parts.) I learned all about cars, how to weld...and how to cuss!  Once finished, there was no top and no windshield wipers, so we could only ride on nice days. Boys that I had always wanted to date would ask me out and I would hurriedly say, "yes!" Then they would ask if we could take my car! Or Guys would come to the house and ask if I were at home and when they were told no, they would ask if my car was there!  I will find a picture and post... |
