Recipe Title: Sausage Cheese Balls Contributed by: grannyof8
List of Ingredients
2 lb. (32oz) Jimmy Dean Sausage; uncooked
1 1/2 cup all-purpose baking/biscuit mix (Bisquick)
4 cups (16oz) Sharp Cheddar Cheese; shredded
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 tsp. garlic powder |
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 oven.
Combine and mix all ingredients and form into 1 inch balls.
Bake for 15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet until golden brown.
These can be frozen uncooked.
For a firmer texture, add an extra 3 cups baking mix and an extra 2 cups of cheese to the ingredients listed above.
These are very good. Great for large gatherings with the party picks tucked into them and served on a nice platter.
To freeze these; form your cheese balls and lay on baking sheet, making sure none are touching and place in freezer until firm. Remove and place in zip-lock bags and return them to the freezer.Doing it this way; they won't all get frozen together and much easier to take out as many as you want that way. |
