We always called it kugela and it was my favorite food--served with sour cream--sour cream is popular with lithuanian foods!-I have not used this recipe --I always look up several recipes and kind of pick out a little from each

List of Ingredients
* 6 lg Red potatoes
* 1 lg Yellow onion
* 2 lg Eggs
* 1 tb Baking powder
* 2 tb All-purpose flour
* 6 sl Bacon
* Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Grate potatoes and onion.
Add eggs, baking powder and flour to potatoes and onions and blend.
Mix in salt and pepper.
Pour into greased 10 inch cast iron skillet (or oven proof 12" x 7" casserole or baking dish) and place in 400 degree oven. Top with bacon bake at 400 degrees until the bacon is crisp and the top of the kugel is brown.
Remove from pan and serve.
