DELICIOUS EASY COOKING forum: Warm and Gooey Apple Granola Dessert

Sorry, this was the March 4th recipe; you can blame TLC for not getting it up there.

4 tart apples, peeled and sliced
2 c of your favorite fruit and nut granola
¼ c honey
2 T butter, melted
1 t ground cinnamon
½ t nutmet

Combine apples and granola in a slow cooker.

In a separate bowl, combine honey, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour over apple/granola mixture. Mix well.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Can serve over french vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat!!

i bought my apples for a crock pot apple dish listed somewhere else in here--i will have to take a look at both and see what is different--too bad you can't leave the peels on --but i know--wouldn't work well

Yes Linda, agree. I much prefer to keep the skins on. Might work ok if you cut the apple into bite size pieces first(?).

i did peel them but not overly concerned if i got all the peel off--haven't had a chance to taste much but will soon
i think i might chop some pecans to go on top--love those pecans
