|you don't subscribe to Photoshop. It is a very expensive photo editing program. Changing the number of pixels changes the width. Look at my examples above. Photo was 34" wide and after it was 8" wide. (approx)
I use a Mac. I think there are inexpensive programs for photo editing that you can get for the PC, or that come with digital cameras. I know nothing about PC programs. I worked in the Printing Industry so I am used to using photoshop. Using it to downsize a photo is the equivalent to using an 18 wheeler truck to pull a cement block. If you can do it in a Red Flyer Wagon, might as well, it's a lot less expensive. But, if you have the 18 wheeler sitting around for other purposes, it pulls a cement block too!
