Hi, I grew this plant from seed marked Androsace chamaejasme. It just opened it's first flowers and they are purple! Every photo I've found in web searches are of white flowered plants. I think it's much prettier than what it was supposed to be, but would really like to know what it is. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I haven;t been on the cubit in weeks! The plant is a primrose...maybe P. scotica (also looks like P. mistassinica or laurentiana...there are several look-alikes).

I am not sure what kinds of variants of P. mistassinica there are (there must be many), but it is definitely not the form that grows in Minnesota. Also, leaves of the Minnesota form are green, not the frosted color in your pic.
