The past year has really had some firsts for me...first palpitations, first arthritic problem with my knee, and okay, the skin cancer lesions...I'd had one before, but it was my first MOS surgery to remove them. I've gotta get back to exercising. The only place I have enough room to exercise our large shed...and it's kind of cold in there these days. And I hate cooking!

Okay, it may sound stupid, but I made up my mind that I *would walk. I have a friend who has MS, and she told me her goal for each day was 10,000 steps ... that she didn't want to look back one day and regret even 1 step she didn't take. That really made me wake up. I walk all through my house back and forth and around the house outside or get on my Gazelle or whatever I have to do every day. I don't get in all my steps, but I don't ever say I can't walk after watching her. She has been a real inspiration to me.

How do I battle shingles the natural way? I'm 54 years young and having a time with shingles right now?

I haven't had shingles, but I found this site.

Since it's caused by a virus, I wonder if some of the herbal antiviral stuff would help. DH used capsaicin cream for a while. We had a box of disposable gloves...you really do need them, it's hot pepper-based!

April, how are you doing? If you're still battling shingles, you might find this interesting. http://www.naha.org/articles/varicella_virus_in_hospice_pati... I love using essential oils and, like you, I'd rather use natural products than antibiotics any day.

Helloooooo?? Anyone here? I'm trying to decide what cubits are active and which ones aren't. Has this one gone the way of the dodo?
