Hi everyone. I was going to give one away a couple months ago to someone but my son got bit by a spider and it got me side tracked and just now remembered it. SO if you would like to try to grow one and see for yourself how exotic they can be, sign up and on Saturday August 7th, I'll put all the names in a bowl and draw out one to win the plant. Thumb of 2010-08-02/mekos/058172
Good luck and hope the winner is the one who really wants one! Thumbs up
ALSO PLEASE REMEMBER TO JOIN THIS CUBIT. We'd love to have you hang around and play more games with us!
ONLY MEMBERS CAN WIN SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR STATICE AND JOIN IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY A MEMBER!
IF your name is drawn and we check to find you are not a member it will be put back and another name drawn out. Please be sure you joined.

This thread got too long so we have moved to a new thread, so come on over to the new thread--http://cubits.org/amorphophallus/thread/view/30685/

I got you all down for the drawing Saturday. That picture was made several years ago but that is the greatgrandaddy to all mine. They are really nice and I have one that is good for shipping right now, so it will be the one to go. It won't be in bloom like that one.Thumb of 2010-08-03/mekos/b7f5d3

It will be one of these smaller ones that can be shipped without breaking the plant. I have several of these. Big Grin

I know they are hardy through zone 7 and maybe zone 6 but check your zone to see for sure.
I think they look like beautiful little palm trees till they shoot up the bloom and after it goes away, the tree comes back up again. They are really cute plants. You can google Amorphophallus plants and see what others there are also and get all the info on growing them, but I just plant and forget. They do all the rest.
