There's nothing quite like a gathering of gardeners, Larry. Looks like a great Iowa event!

I'm looking at the photo....coats in May?? Is it that cold there even then?

As you've probably gathered from my weather reports now and then, Iowa weather can bounce around from one extreme to another. The photo was taken at a Cedar Rapids gathering in early May. Being unseasonably cold and windy that day was one reason we decided to schedule subsequent gatherings at bit later in the month. I guess we'll just have to accept what Mother Nature has in store for us, which, as gardeners, we have already learned to do. It would probably take a major blizzard or a tornado warning to keep us from getting together! So the word from here is dress optimistically, but bring a warm coat as well.
