We do have beekeeping classes but I haven't taken anything in that arena, I am not sure how those plants respond as far as producing pollen. If they dont produce pollen then there should be little direct impact on the pollinators, indirect impact could be the pollinators go to the plant to receive substance and receive nothing therefore in essence 'wasting' energy for nothing.
