If you drive a Honda you probably have heard of the recalls for the air bag saftey recall. This is not on all Hondas, only a few select models and not even all the models in the same year. If you are panicking right now, you can go to the American Honda Website, click on the links and see if, infact, your Honda is involved.
I work at a Honda Dealership and here is the bulletin that I recieved today concerning this safety recall that actually has been out for over 6 months, but has been re-publicsized due to the addition of a few newer models affected. Happily, there are no Hondas in this re-call that can't be fixed easily with a Genuine Honda Part.
***2001-**2002 Accord/Civic Airbag Recall Campaign...
American Honda is deploying voice message phone calls to customers who own Honda vehicles included in the airbag saftey recall. The cuastomers recieving the phone call were previously contacted via a letter or email campaign that ended September 2009. These messages are intended to encourage Honda owners to contact their dealership immediately to set an appointment to have the vehicle repaired. These messages will deploy through out the month of February on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Those customers with an email address on file with American Honda will also be receiving emails concerning the same information.
