Banana Buff!!

I got my 'Texas Star' as a birthday gift from my hubby from TyTy Nursery.

It is a 'crap shoot' with what an actual Texas Star is, but I am happy with the growth & cold hardiness of the banana so far!

I have a small sword pup, but it's only 10 inches high...not even close to ready for separating from the Mother plant yet.

here is the mother plant. i cut it back after the freeze along with the pups. it starting pushing out growth and then stalled. it looks like it is a goner.

they are in an 18-gal container and will be moving to a 30-gal fabric pot. i wonder if they are getting too much full sun this early on. the color seems faded.
