OK, so he has graduated from pitching straight scratch grain to mixing stuff for the 7 feeders.

2 feeders have a white millet/thistle blend of 4 parts white millet to 1 part Nyjer thistle

5 feeders have a mix as follows: 4 parts scratch grain 1 part white millet 1 part black oil sunflower

We get scratch grain at our feed store for about $8 a 50 lb bag

We bought the white millet at Marshall Grain in Ft Worth for $20 a 50 lb bag

We found the Nyjer thistle at Tractor Supply for $30 a 25 lb bag

Sunflower seed also at Tractor Supply for $15 a 40 lb bag

kenboy mixed up the first batch of blends this weekend, we'll try to keep track of how far it goes :~)

Let us know if you find good suppliers of seed/feed at good price
