Been there, Done that!
I notice that some banners have the photos faded into the banner color almost like the opacity has been turned down such as this one?

Do you know how that can be accomplished? thanks for any tips,
Candee

Candee, anytime you want to figure out how someone has managed a "look" in their banner, just put your cursor over the image, press right click, and then select "View Background Image" to see exactly what the person uploaded.

For that banner, it's not "fading" into the background. When she made her graphic, she used a transparency feature in her graphics program to filter the edges into the background directly on the header. Here's a link to what she uploaded:

I don't have a view background option when I right click in IE - but I get what you mean Evey - I use PSP and can play with the transparency. So do you think she made the banner box with the background green color, added the photo and played with the transparency and then saved it and uploade the banner?

Yep... some programs will do the photo edge for you. There are some free ones online if you do a search. Or you might be able to get someone over at Zany's Playpen to fade the edge on the photo for you.

I can do that in my PSP, just didn't think of being that innovative when we first started here, but will be making some new seasonal banners and so this is great info! Thanks,
