| Okay we are having a contest and try to cheer up King Konky!! He's been blue all week because he's stuck in the house while it's freezing cold outside! The Contest: Write a Haiku! The sappiest Haiku wins a six pack of votive candles from The Babe Shop! This is the official site to write your Haiku, so go ahead and add it here! Here's a chat thread, just so this thread doesn't get overloaded with chatter: http://cubits.org/blockparty/thread/view/47224/ What is a Haiku? you ask... A Haiku is a Japanese style of poem consisting of 3 lines and a total of 17 syllables. It doen't need to rhyme, and usually doesn't. The 1st line is 5 syllables The 2nd line is 7 syllables and, the 3rd line is 5 syllables. Example: King Konky is blue he wants to play outside now but it's just too cold You can enter as many times as you want. The contest starts today and ends on the last day of the month, January 31, 2011. When the contest ends, everyone who has entered the contest will pick their favorite Haiku and submit it by cmail to me. Once I have all the favorites, the top three picks will go in a hat; and King Konky will pick a name for 1st place winner to receive a six pack of votive candles from The Babe Shop. 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a key chain, made by King Konky---with my help.
