It's spring and beautiful in Kentucky. I'm sure it's getting beautiful-er where you are too!

Our old thread was getting a little long, bogged down with new spring beauties as it was...so it's time to start a new one.

We came from here: http://cubits.org/bluegardens/thread/view/11726/

Thanks for the compliment, Neal. I put the rose on the edge because I envisioned George setting a lovely vase of flowers on that doily. I was remembering the pictures he posted on DG showing bunches of flowers he'd plucked from the garden and put in vases around his house. Smiling

I just had to share my pergola today. It's making me so happy.
Montana Rubens and Pink Champagne. Next comes Roguchi
(royal blue bells) and Bonanza (violet) Tangutica (tiny yellow
bell flowers) Venosa Violacea (small purple). I also put moon
flowers on the pergola which I've started already & can't wait
to smell the first blooms.

That is beautiful, Shawna...... Smiling ......

We are starting to see a bit of green here, but the weather is still pretty iffy. It's been alternating between snow squalls and rain. Carol's Garden is slowly emerging from the snow, but it will probably be toward the end of the month before we'll be able to get out there and clean up the debris.

I had to take out all the glass floats and mementos, anything that could be damaged by the weather, and I'm thinking I'm going to have a heck of a time remembering who's memento went where. Yikes! I hope nobody will be offended if I get something in the wrong place.

These Snow Geese showed up here recently....a sure sign that Spring is on the way.

Beautiful Rhododendron Sharon! Love that burgundy blotch.

Ruth, you were so right, that's exactly what George will do with it, and how gorgeous! Geo, be sure to post a pic when ya do!

Shawna, such a wonderful space you've created! The Moon flowers will be such fun, you can watch them open.

I just lugged all the inside plants out to the porch. Its a little early, but I couldn't stand it anymore. They're protected there, so I'm not too worried about frost.

My indoor plants are still inside. I am tempted to put them out but always hate myself when I have to bring them back in because of pending bad weather. Sometimes spring storms can be terribly damaging in addition to the fact that some of my tropicals don't care for the cool nights we are still prone to have for a while longer.

Soulja~what a beautiful setting for a wonderful place to be sitting.
Thanks for the new thread, Sharran. The flowers are gorgeous.
Ava~if the Snow Geese are there; they'll be here very soon. I'm sure the mementos will be just as beautiful no matter just where in the memorial garden they will be.
The same foot of snow remains in the yard, but it is thinning on the sloping areas.
A touch of color~a few days ago, thinking snow was finished, I hung the yard ornament-snow added a bit of interest~~~

Love all the blooms I'm seeing on this thread, even the yard ornament blooming in the snow!

Oh, those are pretty!
All I have is a faded yellow primrose, unless I get to count the purple flower spikes on my coleus that I forgot to nip off. Whistling

Good morning all.....

All of us Lynn's (ie; Ava Lynn, Pamela Lynn & Lynnie, aka Lynn the Finn) are off to Kenai this morning to do some shopping and "just get away from it all"..... Smiling .....

As soon as I mentioned to Dad that I was going to Kenai today, he wanted to come along. I told him; "Nope....this going to be a 'girlie day'. Whatever you need from there, I'll pick up for you." So there!... Hilarious! ....

Talk to you later....
