Perpetually happy!
I love my forget-me-nots!
They highlight the tulips and other spring-time flowers. They fill in the empty spaces where other perennials haven't shown up yet.
By the time they're done, everything else is up, and I just rip them out (they have nothing for roots) and in the process they drop their seeds for next year.

Don't move here to MA as they are now on the banned list because they are invasive. Grumbling

Your garden looks so pretty, Lee Anne! I have Forget-me- Nots too and treat them the same way that you do. They fill up gaps in early Spring and are so easy to pull out. I do have to keep them away from the Irises though. I love the colour of your Tulips!

Oh, what a great garden display! I always wondered where my Forget Me Nots went .. I thought they came back from roots .. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them this season & spread some around! Self sown is fabulous! Pity they are banned in some States here as well .. yep, that sucks! :)
All I had last season:

I've really never been able to get them to grow for me. It could be too hot and dry here.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they like damp & semi shaded areas .. mine are in amongst other plants in an area that gets any seepage from the street grass verge & are sheltered from our Northern sun, but only get early & late sun during the day. I must find some seeds ..
