So they don't go bald until they get older, kinda like humans, huh? Big Grin

Thank you Vic. Sorry you haven't seen one in the wild, I am fortunate that I get to see them all year round, they are magnificent, I never get tired of seeing them. Lovey dubby

Renee, they can take 2 or more years before the head and tail are fully white. Big Grin

There is a sort of forest land about a mile from me, in the direction I see from the front of my house. It serves as a nesting place for a couple of eagle families. Sometimes from my front yard I can see them swooping around over the area where I know their nest is. They are very majestic and beautiful and their graceful flight is unlike any other.

Too many cats!!
We have bald eagles here in my area. Saw a mating flight of 2 of them a few weeks ago. Of course, no camera & couldn't get decent footage with my phone (too far), plus I was driving in semi-heavy traffic. We get them in our town every spring as they migrate towards the mountains. Here's a pic I took back in Dec 2011 on the way to the dogpark. Make sure you open it fully so you can see both birds.

Bad picture.. the camera just wouldn't zoom in nicely. This was with my old Canon that I dropped waaaaaaaaaaay too many times. *Blush*
Never be afraid of a scar. It just means that you were stronger than something that tried to hurt you.
