Whew!! What a crazy busy day. I must feel better since I put house work first. Larry, oh good grief. Just checking in. Still got to clean one more room. You can tell I've taken it easy far too long. But this is the first time in a long time that my back hasn't screamed and yelled. Ugh. |
|
|||
Sharon, your just doing all that cleaning in case we show up at your house again. ![]() |

Just got off the phone with a new travel agency. Old one evidently went out of business. In May we are flying to Ohio for grandaughters graduation from college. |

Sharon, I am so glad you are feeling up to doing so much. Wish I had your energy today. I have not been doing anything but taking care of our pets and warming up supper.We had more snow overnight and today. It is 27* out there now. Toni, our cat used to sit and watch the fish in the tank and seemed to enjoy the activity. We no longer have a fish tank. It was just too much work for me to maintain the tank. Larry, hope that your weather has settled down and Oliver is finding it easier to get apples. ![]() Vic, sure hope with you that your finger heals fast. That must have really hurt. This last week I cut a finger on both hands and it was a bother to use the computer to type with them wrapped. I cut the one finger with a potato peeler and the other one putting plastic containers away with lids that had sharp edges. ![]() Margaret, Sharon must be getting ready for another dream visit from all of us. ![]() ![]() Oma |

My back is doing fine, thank you very much, and my house loves me again. And I am finally finished for the day. Slow Poke, that's me, but I got it done except for two unused bedrooms that have doors closed and no animals allowed in there, so surely they aren't too bad. My vacuum is a little tired, but I'm doing just fine. Whew! |

Oma - oh my.. if I wrapped every single cut I have, I'd be a mummy! Both arms & legs are crisscrossed in cat scratches, bruises, pinches, you name it. And right now I'm down to only 5 aquariums. I've had up to 16 in the past, but ran out of room. Just have the 2 44gal pentagons (1 fresh, 1 salt), the 75 salt, a 50gal fresh, & the 72gal fresh. My latest aquarium acquisition is the 50gal. It's an odd odd shape.. 20" wide by 18" deep by 31" tall. So having to work on the bottom of the tank I need snorkling gear! I got that tank specifically for my cats to hang out with. I picked up a small cat tree & placed it right in front of the tank. Actually, the 2 44s & the 75 are also for the cats as well. Great cat-TV for them. Sharon - Didn't mention it before, but I absolutely LOVED this story! And was ![]() ![]() ![]() Vic - OUCH. OUCH OUCH OUCH. I know that pain pretty well.. I'm my own worst enemy TBH. Hopefully it'll heal quickly! Larry & Arlene - Congrads on getting your photos onto labels! That's totally awesome! Mary - Mary had a little lamb.. and some mashed potatoes, and some dinner rolls, and some butter.... sorry, bad joke there. ![]() Never be afraid of a scar. Toni, an ancient joke from the 1950's: Mary had a little lamb... and the midwife fainted. The table saw I inherited from my father finally gave out late last year. I wasn't in much of a hurry to buy a new one until Oliver figured out how to get over/through the baby gate at the top of the stairs. He's not allowed upstairs because he chases the cat, eats her food (and her poop). Just finished making a new, more secure gate and installed it today. Here's Oliver checking it out: ![]() Cottage-in-the-Meadow Gardens: Come on in and take the tour! Check out the photos! As a gardener: When planning for a year, I plant corn. Was going to paint the gate white to match the surroundings better, but decided not to because it would continually show the dirt from Oliver leaning against it, sticking his nose through it, etc. Cottage-in-the-Meadow Gardens: Come on in and take the tour! Good job, Larry. I like the expression on Oliver's face. |

Glad you're feeling better Sharon. I had an excuse not to vacuum for a bit, my vacuum was broken. But we did take it in for repair. Actually, I spilled a bag of vermiculite on the dining room rug and a broom just won't work for getting it up so it was a must! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Vic, OUCH is right! Isn't is strange that we know better than to do things like that, teach our children, yet we still do it? Hope it heals quickly. Larry, not only are you clever, but you're handy as well! Nice job on the gate. Oliver looks like he really wants to get through though. |

Cute picture of Oliver. It looks like he is contemplating how to get through that new gate. ![]() Oma |

We had snow last night, snow during the day and more snow tonight and early morning hours. Twenty degrees and a low of three degrees. COLD! Fortunately, not much snowfall. It is still winter, in case you southern folks don't know it. ![]() Gone are the days of house cleaning for me where I scrubbed the floors, walls, EVERYTHING and all in one day. I do not know how I managed it but I did and wish I could do it again. Not going to happen. I am in the habit of keeping things picked up. If I get it out, I put it back and then I know where it is the next time I need it. ![]() Oma |

Woodworking, another of Larry's numerous talents! Sharon, I hope you don't pay for the house cleaning with aches and pains. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. More ramblings at http://thegatheringplacehome.myfastforum.org/forum54.php |

I think my metabolism got tired of being on vacation. But I feel fine, honestly, I didn't do any kind of twists or turns and this little vac is very light weight. I'm sure you remember my vacuum story. So I think I'm just fine but I have rested tonight with the heating pad. Larry is very talented, does a lovely job no matter what he's working on. |
