No one will ever replace that dear lady in our hearts. We who knew her were so terribly fortunate. Her memory will live on in my heart as long as I live. I did get to know her person to person at two Dave's Garden KY Roundups and I am so thankful for that.
Here is what I posted in several other places.

Sweet Sharon…in her memory

I read about Sharon’s death last night and I am still in shock and overcome with sorrow. I, like everyone else who knew her, loved that lady so very much. I have been thinking about it since I found out and I hope that I told her that enough. I think I did and I know that she knew I wasn't the type person who was ever able to write letters like I should have or post much on a regular basis anywhere. I think she knew that didn't mean that I didn't love her or that I would ever be missing from her sites since I read them regularly. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to meet and to know Sharon. She was a delight and she brought much joy to my life as well as to the lives of everyone she knew. It is so sad that she had to leave us but she is with Jesus now and in a far happier place where she will never again know the pain caused from her lifetime with polio since she was a little girl. We who love the Lord can rest in the fact that we will see her again some bright day in heaven. I will miss that precious lady so much as will everyone who ever knew her.
May she rest in peace....

John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

So I say also, "Amen" too! And thanks be to God for His Word! Smiling

Thanks Vickie-
I appreciate the thought, and I rarely get over here on Cubits. But I needed this discussion as a part of Sharon's memory and her inspiration for others.

I just would never make it. I have known and leaned on Him since I was 12 years old. I am just so thankful that I found him at an early age and have been priviledged to walk with him that long. He is all I need.

Just a passing thought this morning: We are all indebted to the Lord for His gift of life & the awful price He paid for that gift. Sometimes we cannot understand things here in this troubled world, but rest assured we will some day know the reasons why. Smiling

My mother shared the following thoughts with me this morning. I do not know the author.

"Death leaves a wound that no one can heal;
Love leaves memories that no one can steal."

I find it appropriate for all of us who loved Sharon.

Angie, I'd love to see that as an "inspiration" over on NGA, maybe with a heart-shaped leaf photo or an arching branch of lovely bleeding heart blooms.

I know I'll find words eventually, but meanwhile I'm focusing on those things I can deal with... and I continue to be so thankful to those who are posting words and thoughts about Sharon here. I need to read those words, even if I can't yet find words myself.

Angie,
I do not know the author either, but this has been a part of me for some time.
I found a small grave marker with these words inscribed on it a few years
back. Very appropriate words for Sharon indeed!
