|Sharon, Brique already knew something was wrong with Laila before she passed. He would sniff her and then come to me for comfort. I'm sure he does miss her, but on the other hand, he has twice as many plates and bowls to lick! Thanks for pointing out the heart on his face. I had no idea. I continue to marvel at your powers of observation and your ability to keep the result in your active memory.
Nap, Palmer is a boy. It will be interesting to see if Brique will accept another male in his territory. I didn't realize that snowfall varied that much in Buffalo and the surrounding area.
Mary, you're right about Palmer. He's a terrier mix and weighs about 22 pounds. And Wilma chose him because of his smaller size for precisely the reason you mention.
