We thoroughly enjoy the mystery tv shows from the BBC. The old dectective Morse series, and the Agatha Christie series. We have caught a few new ones but can not remember the names. They are on the public broadcasting channel.

I never even think to go to that channel to look for programs. I'll have to look.

Hi I am new to this Cubit.
I dont go out much but enjoy Netflix.I get movies by mail.
I seem to have a preferance for BBC detective shows. The latest series I have been watching is "Trial and Tribulation" Starring people I dont know.
The first 3 seasons were great. The last season wore me down with the drama between the 2 investigators.
The woman who wrote the series also wrote "Prime Suspect" Starred Helen Merin.

Jo Ann, it's great to see you here! I also subscribe to NetFlix! Do you watch the "Watch Instantly" stuff at all? We got the Roku box (2 actually) so I can watch it on the TV rather than the computer.

LOL I wasn't too thrilled with watching on the computer either. That's why we got the Roku player. It works great for us!

One of the things I like about the BBC shows is the woman are real. They are not super glamorous cleavage-in your-face gals.

Ahhhhmen Mary.
Give us real women everytime.
The BBC Inspector Lynley series with Sharon Small as Det. Barbara Havers is an example. She is attractive but not distracting.
Miss Marple - no cleavage there!!!

Midsommer Murders is a BBC but it wasnt very mysterious and if you watch one episode after another you can see the same plot line . Tooooo boreing when you know they have the suspect at the halfhour mark.

Masterpiece Theater is running a new show on PBS with Kenneth Branagh as a detective (I think). Anyhow the teasers look very good so I put it in the Tivo queue.
