I saw this in the theater and bought it when it came out. This is a side-splitting movie from beginning to end. If you haven't seen it, by all means do. I haven't seen the American remake with a black cast. Anyone? Honestly, I don't think anyone could be funnier than this group of largely unknown (to me anyway) British actors.

Quoting:Death at a Funeral
2007R91 minutes
The funeral for the patriarch of a wealthy but eccentric British clan is turned topsy-turvy when a stranger appears, claiming to be the dead man's gay lover, in this black comedy from director Frank Oz. The dysfunctional family grows wackier as the deceased's sons decide they can't let the rest of the guests get wind of this revelation. But can they get the cat back into the bag? Peter Dinklage, Matthew Macfadyen and Rupert Graves co-star.

It does sound good and since you said it's good, I put it on my DVD queue from NetFlix. Not sure when I'll get it, the list is long.

I'll let you know what I think when I watch it. It could be a while we have over 100 DVD's in our queue right now. Whistling

Our queue is long, too. Too long. Periodically, I go through and delete stuff that I know we're never going to watch.

My DH manages and pays for NetFlix, I just add stuff to the queue and watch a lot of the instant stuff.

Jo Ann, I rarely see a comedy that is as side-splitting funny as this one. In fact, what Hollywood is churning out in the name of comedy for the last many years is pathetic. Stupid does not equate with funny.

I agree. Its odd when I go to Netflix Comedie lists there is nothing on the list with more than 2 and a half stars.
I never waste my time with anything under 3 and a half stars.

I'm still waiting for it to come up to the top of my queue! We have been working our way through Dark Shadows so that has been consuming our queue.
