I love this movie. Anyone else familiar with it? I taped it off TCM a few years back, but I see Netflix has it now!
"In this welcome addition to the canon of mandatory yuletide viewing, Barbara Stanwyck plays Elizabeth Lane, a magazine columnist who touts herself as a blissful wife, mother and expert homemaker living on an idyllic Connecticut farm. Trouble is, it's all a lie. When her pudgy publisher (Sydney Greenstreet) cooks up a scheme to boost circulation by having Elizabeth entertain a war veteran (Dennis Morgan) on Christmas Eve, will her charade unravel?"
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
Got this movie from the library and we watched it tonight. It's so fun. I love the characters in it and Stanwyck does an excellent job of portraying a woman head-over-heals in love!
And I'd love to live in that house.
